Cato the Elder

I am not one who would be a supporter of Cato or the Roman senate and i would be much more likely to tell him to ally with Carthage rather than call for it to be destroyed. However I do see the reason why he called, no matter the speech he gave, for it to be so. In his case it was because Carthage, a city state on the shored of modern Libya, was Roma’s only adversary of ability and worth. Today I look at the world and, in a nod to him, I will always post the following:

 

Praeterea, mea sententia est arma nuclearia Persarum delenda esse.

 

Furthermore I think the nuclear weaponry of Persia should be destroyed
