Spent the morning on the Cornish coast in a little cove with the sun shining, the tide out and no one else on the beach. Just me and the dog and the world dying in every corner and as i handles a few of the stones and listened to the waves I thought of how our ancestors sat here, with far more wildlife around, and I mourned our brutality and ignorance. We inherited a planet abundant with living and we have brought it down to an inch of its existence and we still think this is true intelligence.
The greatest example of intelligence comes when you see how someone treats those over whom they have power.
We are demons.
