That Was cold

Posted on 29/12/2024 by Daniel

Over the holiday I had to get back from London to Cornwall and the trains were all rescheduled so I had to leave from Euston not Paddington. Like an idiot I did what the railway worked told me to do and got the train to Bristol even though I knew the arrival time of 11pm would probably mean there was no connecting service. And there wasn’t. And the station at Bristol – a busy city, closes at 1.15 am to 7 am on Sundays to I had to wait outside … in the cold.

The conversations with two holiday returnees from 3 am were a lot of fun (the UK is falling to bits was mentioned) but by 6 I was getting cold. How the homeless get by I have no idea.
