The French Dilemma

Posted on 09/07/202409/07/2024 by Daniel

As we said before fascism has always been with us and immigration always raises its spectre. Those who study these things suggest any resident population can take up to 5% increase in their numbers from immigration with relative equanimity but above that and you have unrest and kick-back. And while the British have stopped mass violence the French still enjoy their émeute. But with lowering birth rates due to the emancipation (still ongoing) of women immigration is necessary for the continuation of the standard of living of richer countries.

We need them but we don’t want them. But the more difficult issue is that of the differing values of peoples and in that there is no half-measure possible. If a people come in, in numbers, with a different value system the settled community will react violently every time in every country.
