Imagination

Posted on 03/07/2024 by Daniel

I was delighted tom spent an evening with a friend I have not seen in forty years. We were at school together.

I was interested in our conversation about religion in which he said he had never thought there was a difference between the stories religions tell and Robin Hood. It was all about good versus bad. Because of that he didn’t think there was ever a time he had believed in a god. I said I think I did up to the age of 17 and then I lost all faith because it was, as he said, all stories.

The spiritual side of it, the lessons for life we are supposed to learn, don’t kill etc., we should do anyway and atheists do all the time with no thought of reward.
