The Prison of Hegemony

Posted on 14/12/2022 by admin

We are not ruling. We do not elect people to positions of power who are able to do anything for the prison we are in from thousands of years of creating ever more sophisticated chains of money to author our day-to-day lives. We elect bankers, nothing more, and the ops we are offered to placate our unease are on TV and screens everywhere.

It reminds me of the myth of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. We are called to see the latest movie, watch how much it grosses, watch the stars on endless boring chat-shows and play any number of video games while three quarters of the insect life on Earth has vanished, our seas are too acid and our food filled with chemicals which kill us over our lives.

We accept the prison. Our sentence will be centuries of suffering.
