I called him back and he appeared and so I thought he was safe and turned my back. Ten minutes later I began to wonder where he was and whistled and called. Nothing. So, torch in hand I walked down the lane calling his name. Passing a gate to a neighbours house I walked by and heard a slight soft whine. turning I saw him behind the gate. A little prisoner who wanted to respond to my calls but couldn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>He never whines. He never barks. He really is the kindest dog I have ever known but every animal will speak to you when they need to. With their paws, their eyes, their nudges and their change of presence.
