The fields are white in the mornings and the birds hungry. I have, as yet, not closed the window in the kitchen because fresh air-flow keeps the bugs at bay but I am delighted for the hardening of the ground. this is the time of year the ground recovers and prepares for the growing season.<\/p>\n<p>It is also bright in the daytime and I can feel the temperature rise as I walk into the polytunnel.
