died today. It is strange because just this week gone I was thinking about the mess the BBC is in for lax reporting and bias and I recall how Mark Tully was universally respected for his fairness. One of his colleagues once said if we had any thought that there would be problems at a border crossing we just said ‘we’re Mark Tully’ and we were always allowed to pass.
