On linkedIn a good many people have banded the word genocide around and recently I suggested the person did not know its definition and they should read up on it. The response was ‘if you have something to chare why don’t you?’ to which i politely replied the charter on genocide was adopted in December 1948 by the UN and was open source and they could go read it.
How it is possible for a person to accuse a people or a country of genocide and not to have read the legal definition? Is this where we are no when we take knowledge to be whatever the person we are reading is writing? Worse tp use a legal term without knowing the definition and applying it to the situation to see if it fits?
Astonished.
