I have learned how to grow and importantly a great deal on yield, in the last four years. I was thrilled when the black grapes began to appear and enjoyed the success of the asparagus but I was forced to call out ‘oh you beauty’ when I found my first ever peaches growing on the tree. Three of them. two of them together large and rosy. I felt I now had the beginnings of an orchard. It is a shame I don’t own the land and the landowner only thinks of the money he’ll make building on it. But at least I now know what’s involved.
