I was chatting to a young lady today who is 23, and she spoke about how badly she was educated as a child with dyslexia. I was surprised because I thought all that had been dealt with in the 1980s but it seems teachers out there exist who never received the memo. If you go to learn teaching as an adult today training is provided and courses are given to teachers to refresh their training so I think this young lady was very poorly treated. I can only imagine what other children are still suffering because of wilful ignorance.
