I listened to a commentator on France 24 stating that the two antagonists in the Iran/Israel conflict were 70 and 80 years old and obviously stubborn and bellicose and neither will back down. I found that to be the converse to what we were always shown in history that the older men get the less warlike they become and it is in age that peace can be made in ancient conflicts. I don’t know of this commentator was just looking for something to say or if he knew something about these men we don’t. I lean towards the former.
