Apparently he suggested the Russian broke Berlin in 1945 and no one should pervert history. I am not sure to what he was referring, when I was at school our history teachers all said the Russian won WW2 not the USA. But history will record that one million German soldiers were held down in western Europe and expecting and then fighting Russia’s Allies; and how many more soldiers would it have taken to win at Stalingrad or Kursk? History also recalls the Arctic convoys instituted the moment Russia was invaded and there were some Polish merchant seamen on those ships.
Yes the Russian lost more people, yes they broke the German war machine but not alone. They were never alone though until D Day it may have seemed like it.
