Nazi Jihadi

Posted on 17/02/2025 by Daniel

I heard a podcast today condemning the west for its moral vacuity in not making Jihad as unacceptable as Nazism. The argument seemed to be we had an international moral code espoused in the Nuremberg Trials which is wholly lacking when dealing with murderous Jihadis.

The Nuremberg Trials were not trials about war. Not actually about fascism. If they were about fascism every Italian fascist and Spanish fascist should have been on trial as well. They were curated because the world saw something it had not seen before – the intent to wipe out an entire race. We had seen it of course – the Aztecs, the Incas, the Tasmanian Aborigines and many others wiped out – but they were in the past. We had also seen fascism many times from every war, every empire ever created by human beings. Jihadis long to have their own Shoah against the Jews and the role of Islam in the ability of the Nazis to get their hands on 6 million Jewish people has yet to be fully examined. And to talk about politics and mortality in the same sentence is obviously ridiculous. Politics has no morality and never has had any.

The Iranian Mullahs will never be out on trial. The leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah will never be hanged for war crimes. The west will never stop buying oil to give Iran the money to fund their war. The world we live in is no less brutal than it was in 1939. And the next atrocities are just round the corner.
