All over the world conflicts are being fought that cost money – fuelled, literally, by oil sales and other trade. But the cost to the human psyche, to individual soldiers suffering trauma, to brainwashed children with no other aim than to murder, to raped women, to destroyed communities, to broken alliances, the millions of hours of negotiations by hundreds of peace makers, to the clean up operations if there ever are any, to the care of the wounded, the treatment of families suffering loss, the lost children, the lost pets, the loss animals the destruction of the natural environment …
These are the true cost. Anything that costs money is cheap next to these.
