I am split

Posted on 27/11/2024 by Daniel

Throughout thousands of years we as a species have argued to limit outright warfare. We have attempted to limit the devastation brought to bear on people not involved in the conflict and these arguments and discussions are vital to the future of the species. I have no argument against them per se.

But with Israel I find the hypocrisy astonishing. Colonial? A charge levied by Muslim and anti-Semites who live in countries with borders designed by invasion and colonialism. Ethnic cleansing in Gaza where after 105 days UNESCO reported 20,000 births a number that may well have doubled in the past year of fighting. Murders of children in a fight where the enemy hides behind children in the same manner as the Nazis in France where 400,000 French citizens died mostly in Allied bombing raids. Genocide though there is no intent to wipe out a people in whole or in part. The use of starvation when the Gazans who come to camera are all well fed.

I loathe war because it is mass-murder, this war is only that and that would be enough to call a halt except the Jihadists live mass-murder themselves.
