Long ago a politician said a successful leader is the one who takes the people where they want to go but makes them think they got there because of him/her. There is a lot of talk today about how Americans have been suckered into voting for Trump but his form of fascism in what the people want. And here is why: if you educate people to run after money because otherwise they will have cruel and difficult poverty you ensure that if you take $10 a week from them they will vote against you but if you give them $10 a week they will support you.
And what you otherwise do doesn’t matter to them at all.
