So That’s How It Happened

Posted on 16/07/2024 by Daniel

Many time we read history and we think ‘how did they fall for that’ when we think about the terrible leaders that have taken power and then betrayed their electorate. The promises that were never going to be kept. Part of the appeal being the way they pander to the immediate experiences of the electorate who never look deeper into economics than their grocery bill. We are still in the throes of the financial crisis of 2018 and thankfully the ruling class here in the UK produced such a series of inept politicians the electorate had nowhere to go but but elsewhere.

But looking at the people who back Trump I can see the suffering and malignant Germans who blamed others for their own failings in 1933. People looking for a general not a leader. Longing for the sheriff to stroll into town and kill the immigrants and democrats causing all the problems
