there has to be some agreement on what meets the requirements to be a fact. A lie, for example, is a ‘thing’, it exists as a lie but we cannot accept it as fact because it is not t be believed. But not all facts are verifiable by every human being. Sometimes we have to take the fact as real because it makes less sense if it is not believed. In this manner we can put the Moon landings.
The deliberate attempt to present lies as facts has always been with us but in recent politics around the world and especially in the Arab treatment of Israel, this has become an epidemic.
