Why Do They Run?

Posted on 21/06/2024 by Daniel

After correcting anti-Israeli posters on facebook and linkedIn on many occasions and they actually getting angry (Netanyahu is a liar, Israel is evil) their posts stopped coming. I thought it was because they didn’t enjoy being contradicted with fascist but actually they just dropped me as someone who could see their posts. So why did they run?

On the one hand they disliked the fact they were being argued with when they were portraying themselves as purely humanitarian. People are dying I am calling out the aggressor how could you not see that? On the other hand being shown proof that their facts were mistaken, that they did not know the history of war or the history of Jewish people showed them up to be deeply anti-Semitic. The language in response to my replies became slightly manic.

One of the things about facts is that sometimes you end up having a mirror held up to your thoughts. Even I do. That is the point at which one learns, or runs.
