There is an horrific video of a man with an elephant gun jumping over many elephant bodies shooting those who are only wounded. It is part of a cull to wipe out nuisances destroying crops or just being in the way of human beings. We now have experts studying elephants that they have names and even nicknames for each other and this opens up the entire possibility they have named places and other things.
We have seen wild animals we fear brought up with people showing deep affection and long memory.
