How Little is Power

Posted on 14/01/2023 by admin

Gandhi pointed out that the powerful need populations otherwise who are they going to rule? How will they get rich if people are not there to be salaried and pay taxes? He pointed this out by suggesting that unarmed demonstrations against those in power could end up in ones death and but to give in and go along with the powerful is to give up all ones power and give injustice your obedience.

Of course few people exist who will put their lives on the line for either themselves or others. And no one will fight for others in another country who are fighting power. But then the mark of our intelligence and humanity lies only in the way in which we treat those over whom we have power.

The corruption we face in the UK with the Conservative Party is nothing when set against the Iranian hierocracy but it should demand of the population peaceful dissent.
