Part of the reason the Markets across the world have treated the UK in this manner over the past week or so is that the UK is no longer in the European Union.
It isn’t a reason commented upon to a large extent but we are bow adrift, no unseen and seen support from the banks of Europe and the heaviness of being 500 million and not just 60 million. I say just we are still the sixth richest country in the world. The markets always knew the EU would have much to say in each member’s economics not by direct help – except they did invest in Cornwall and Wales, two ancient countries in the UK. Being part of a larger whole extends standing, imparts financial weight without anything beings aid by chancellors.
