What Am I Offered

Posted on 05/09/2011 by admin

I keep getting sales pitches from all sorts of people these days. I am almost at the point where I won’t buy on the Internet unless I can sign out as a guest and not give my email because even when I check the ‘I don’t want any offers’ I still end up getting offers. Many years ago the great team at Mad magazine produced comic books and in one of them was a sales pitch to buy a magazine. In a series of cartoons the salesman who owned the magazine went from a year’s subscription to giving the punter the magazine free along with a date with his daughter if he would just take the magazine and read it.

I feel with the money world we are there still being sold everything that will appease pain or sorrow and help us forget we never attain all our dreams. WS are so obsessed with selling we have completely lost the ability to tell the difference between what should be free and what may be sold.

In fact now we hold off buying until we get the offer because after all, we must be getting something good if it is cheaper than last week, right?

Sadly no. If it’s bought for any price, then its a dud.
