I just took possession of some 300 art books from a friend. They were rotting in a shed (but slowly) and one or two had begun to get mold on their covers. These books span art history and catalogues from the 1970s – 2000. They include paperback which, though I never took an art history class and never did so much as a semester in the USA, are definitely undergraduate reads. If the titles don’t tell you, or the fact they are old paperbacks, the pencil emphases and little asides in the Miggins give it away. Small and then heavy and huge it is a pleasure looking through them
