So many children take after their parents – myself included I am only an editor because of my mother – that is sometimes becomes easy to answer the nature/nurture question. I was thinking of this when I heard music written by Bach’s son. It was delightful and very professional.
Of course there are thousands of children who do not follow in their parents’ footsteps and I have no idea of the relative numbers between those who do and those who do not. What I am sure about is that nature has something to do with it in some people and nurture has something to do with it in other people. The factors that determine which are often just ease of making money – the parent has all the contacts. And that of course has nothing to do with nature or nurture.
