It seems at times as a foreign observer that the civil war in the US never ended. The pettiness of the partisan machinations against one president or another, but especially from the \republican Party, are deleterious to the smooth running of a democratic state. Because it as all about wielding power over others, not about justice and definitely not about ruling.
What should worry everyone is that this power play doesn’t stop at the US border bit continues into foreign policy. Just as nineteenth century policy created the Japan of WW2 so twentieth century policy is creating the Chine of the next war.
