Women’s Rights

Posted on 06/11/2022 by admin

First let’s understand that rights are given by lawmakers. Once you understand that you will understand that it is the assumptions and prejudices and educational value of the lawmakers that make rights. And that education and those assumptions have to be challenged at all times. It is why we fight for rights, explain what new ones need to be enacted, and why traditions are no guide to what rights there should or should not be.

Whenever men said something misogynistic or anti-women my mother used to say ‘where the hell do they think they come from’. She said other things, of course, but that perspective is the single most crucial one to understand. There is no equality of life, let alone in life. We butcher everything and women are as much to blame for that as men, but women’s equity from start to finish should not be in question in any country or in any man.

If we ever want a civilisation that is.
