Careless Love

Posted on 19/10/2022 by admin

I threw my heart to the wind –
Catch it, catch it, I cried –
The wind replied, replied –
Your heart is mine, is mine –

Torrents of rain fell down
The skies became deep black;
I called to the wind for my heart –
Give it back, give it back.

And the thunder cracked –
And the thunder cracked –
I threw my soul to the skies
To search for my absent heart

Now soul and heart depart –
And I feel wise, feel wise –
Without heart to ache for love;
Without soul to yearn for truth

Blown with the wind in the skies
Blown with my youth, my youth –

Shänne Sands
